Residential Design Consultation
Option 1:
I begin most every design project with an in-home consultation that is convenient for you. During this consultation, I listen carefully to your project, discuss your personal likes and dislikes, and ask questions to help me formulate a custom design plan tailored to your budget.
Option 2:
I also provide consultation services when your design project includes multiple rooms and involves several paint color schemes, tile selection and layout design, flooring choices, and lighting placement. This option is common for new construction or remodeling projects where the homeowner is managing the project and completing the work but needs some professional guidance and direction.
Fee Schedule Options
Option 1: Large Scale Projects
This type of consultation service is based on a commission on the materials and services purchased for the job. This option is applied to large scale projects where many hours of design time is anticipated and I would actively manage the project and ensure its completion. The fee for this method is usually a percentage of all products and services required to complete the project.
Option 2: Flat Rate Fee
After evaluating your design needs and formulating a design plan, I may decide to quote a "flat rate" price to complete the job. This fee plan allows you to know the total costs for my design time, products, materials, and services from the start. Unless the scope of the project changes, I won't exceed the budget. In the case of project changes, my standard hourly rate will apply for all work that is beyond the scope of the original agreement.
